Frequently Asked Questions

At the minimum, we recommend arriving in Altafulla on Thursday Sept 16 and departing on Saturday Sept 18. To add on to your trip, we recommend the city of Barcelona, the beaches of Costa Brava, the Balearic Islands, and the wine country surrounding Tarragona. September is a fantastic time to visit Spain and the Mediterranean due to warm temperatures and decreasing crowds following the summer high season. We are always happy to provide additional recommendations!

We will be providing shuttles between the recommended hotels and the venue on the evening of the wedding. Pickup times and stops will be shared this spring. At the venue, there will be concierge service to help guests organize taxis. There is also limited parking at the venue should you choose to drive.

The dress code is formal: floor length dresses for women and suits for men. We recommend lighter fabrics that are breathable in the possible September heat — the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will be outside, weather permitting. The typical temperature range is 65–75°F / 18–24°C. The castle has some cobblestone paths and grassy areas so please choose footwear accordingly.

We would love guests to lean into typical Spanish formal style with lots of color, texture, and patterns — look up invitada for inspiration.
